Sad Eyed Beatniks is the woolly lo-fi operation of San Fran’s D.I.Y. virtuoso Kevin Linn whose latest record Places of Interest landed last year on his own Paisley Shirt Records label. The new album was pieced together with various 4-track cassette recordings and celebrates Linn’s beloved homeplace through loose guitars and rumbling drum rhythms that move like a lost cut from the Flying Nun catalog.
