Xochimoki- Temple Of The New Sun
In the mid-1980s, Aztec wisdom keeper Mazatl Galindo and American ethnomusicologist Jim Berenholz released Temple Of The New Sun, a record of ceremonial incantations that date back thousands of years. Through guttural vocal chants and ritualistic drum and panpipe instrumentals, the duo conjure the mythical “feather gods and animal spirits” that rest at the ancient ruins and sacred burial grounds of New Mexico where the album was recorded.
