Rich Ruth- "Teufelsberg"

The third single from Nashville ambient composer Rich Ruth’s upcoming full length, Calming Signals is named after the abandoned C.I.A. spy station outside of Berlin that is featured on the front cover of the record. The circular, digital sequences of “Teufelsberg” induce an ethereal hypnosis with Ruth’s calming interstitial ripples of synthesizer warbles.

“The compound used to be a Nazi base that was buried in rubble by women after the war. Now the listening towers are decaying and covered in outlandish art pieces. I visited in 2018 and had a very surreal, psychedelic time. The piece is representative of how I felt that day.”
