Although he’s physically relocated to Chicago from sunny Los Angeles, Rudy De Anda kept his West Coast Latin-psych musical spirit in place for his new record Closet Botanist out on the great Colemine/Karma Chief Records that takes a slight redirection toward a grayer and more visceral vintage sound.
