For a short fee of $0.99, the audience at Chatham College in late October 1976 beheld a multidisciplinary spectacle of music and dance improvisation conceptualized by the acclaimed Entourage Music & Theater Ensemble who combined elaborate costumed theatrics with profound, sacred-feeling folk instrumentals all captured on the Smithsonian Folkways’ new release The Mermaind’s Purse: Live at Chatham College, 1976.
