Founder of the acid-psych crown jewel Brainticket, Joel Vandroogenbroeck became obsessed with archaic and exotic percussion instruments of African, Balinese, and Indian origin that led to his wondrous, extraworldly sound commissioned by the seminal Munich library record label Coloursound where Vandroogenbroeck unleashed a myriad of experimental computer music, dreamy space rock, and surrealistic cosmic jazz scores. At long last, Vandroogenbroeck’s choice recordings from the Coloursound era will be shared as Far View, a new collection from Drag City arriving November 12th.
