Oakland producer Pacific Yew’s new album Modest ((( ))) Odyssey is a collection of material created between 2013 and 2014 that marked the beginning of the versatile artist’s ascension within the underground experimental hip hop and analog beat guild. The new tape blends drum and bass percussion, woozy lo-fi funk, and sub-bass dance styles much like Four Tet or early Caribou.
