The infallible Morning Trip Records have unearthed the recordings of Berkeley, California street performer, instrument innovator, and New Age folk vanguard Michael Masley. First known for his collaborations with fellow unearthed Morning Trip star Barry Cleveland, Masley went on to redefine the sounds of the ancient cymbalom musical device by fashioning each of his fingers with a combination hammer/bow contraption to draw out unconventional complexities from the primitive stringed instrument.
