The wayfaring songwriter Shay Martin Lovette shares “Never Felt So New,” the debut single from his upcoming record Scatter & Gather out May 14th. Written mostly from a remote creekside cabin in the Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina, the songs reflect Lovette’s role as a versatile harmonica-wielding Budhist cowboy drifting between the formulas of folk, indie, and homestyle roots music.
