The Black Music Tee 003
Earlier this summer, Rosa Unearthly Goods and New Commute collaborated for the first Black Music Tee released in June to signify the undeniable importance of black artists in today’s music and culture. With 100% of the profits from the sale of the shirt, we were able to send over $12,000 to The Loveland Foundation and The Movement for Black Lives. A second tee was created a few weeks later that generated another $5,800 donation to The Marsha P. Johnson Institute and Color of Change.
Our continued frustration and outrage over the mistreatment, marginalization, and abuse our minority communities face daily from economic injustice, racial discrimination, police violence, and systemic inequities has driven us to do another edition of the project. This time, 100% of the profit from these limited edition products will be donated to the brand new National Museum of African American Music slated to open this year in Nashville, TN. Once open, NMAAM will be the only museum dedicated to preserving and celebrating the many music genres created, influenced, and inspired by African Americans. The museum’s expertly-curated collections will share the story of the American soundtrack by integrating history and interactive technology to bring the musical heroes of the past into the present.
These premium tees & hoodies are 100% cotton and made in Los Angeles (***the purple text is printed w/ puffy ink!!).
We've also created a Nina Simone bumper sticker to go with this new collection.
All garments will be printed by the wonderful team at Print Hub, an integral piece of this ongoing project.
Presale ends Wednesday, October 7th at midnight EST. Please allow 2-3 weeks to ship.
