Hey San Pedro x New Commute: Community Fridge Shirt & Tote
In collaboration with Hey San Pedro, we’re excited to share a new shirt and tote bag with 100% of the profits supporting organizations creating and maintaining community fridges in NYC and Los Angeles. Community fridges are refrigerators placed around cities stocked with donation-based food that’s free of charge for those in the community that are in need. We will split 100% of the profits evenly between organizations in those cities working to install, maintain, and stock the fridges there. Community Fridges Los Angeles currently has eight locations across the city and will be receiving 50% of the total donation amount to help maintain and expand the Los Angeles market. A New World In Our Hearts install, maintain, and stock community fridges in over twenty locations across NYC who will receive the other 50% of the total donation amount.
We believe access to food is a human right, not a privilege and we are honored to do whatever we can to support the groups doing the hard work on the ground to provide food to neighborhoods experiencing food insecurity. If you do not wish to buy a shirt or a tote, we strongly implore you to find a way to make a difference! We’ve provided a small, but powerful list of places to consider supporting under the Support Resources page on our webstore.
We’d also like to take a moment to thank our absolutely wonderful printer The Print Hub who are endlessly supportive and patient with our projects, provide outstanding work, and always meet the deadlines.
The shirts will be puff printed onto 100% cotton tees.
Preorders for the Community Fridge Shirt & Tote will be open from July 23 to August 1.
