After purchasing a vintage 4-channel reel-to-reel tape recorder from a stranger online in September of 2015, Nova Scotia songwriter Jon Mckiel discovered the machine was loaded with a reel of prerecorded samples of anonymous nature. Picking up where these serendipitous gems left off, Mckiel’s newest record Bobby Joe Hope took form.
