Reissued for the first time since its 1984 release, Admas’ Sons of Ethiopia is an amalgamation of Ethiopian pop, lounge jazz, roots reggae, and highlife performed by the group who resettled in Washington, D.C. after fleeing civil war and famine in their home country in the Horn of Africa in the early 80s. The record which has OG pressings going for $400+ on vinyl resale sites is reborn courtesy of Frederiksberg Records celebrating the multiculturalism of D.C. and its reflection in the music of the city.
