On this Indigenous People’s Day of 2020, we dial our listening to a compilation curated by songwriter Jordan Moser for the wonderful Keeled Scales label titled To The People of the Land which honors the Estok'Gna Tribe of Texas, a people whose residence in the land they call Somi Se'k predates Columbus’ haphazard arrival. To support the tribe’s continued fight to protect their lands and battle environmental racism that threatens their sacred sites, 100% of the revenue from the sale of the compilation will go directly to the Estok'Gna tribe. The compilation features rare recordings and demo tracks from Big Thief, Little Wings, Sharon Van Etten, Jess Williamson, Tenci, Jordan Moser, Molly Burch, and others.
