When guitarist and vocalist Keisuke Yamamoto’s second Piper record Summer Breeze was released in 1984, the era’s new synthesizers and recording techniques uniquely blended the seasonal soundtracks of coastal resort lobby music. The album’s original working title Good Weather! Good Sounds! nailed the essence of the breezy and salty-air funk fusion that has become one of the most iconic and long out of print City Pop record.
