Forth Wanderers

Forth Wanderers' self-titled sophomore full length and Sub Pop debut blends a sharpened brand of indie rock with a softened, heartfelt punk composition. The New York quintet's infectiously catchy and irresistibly feisty spirit is channeled in an arena-ready grandeur championed by Ben Guterl's intricate guitar swirls and Ava Trilling's syrupy, dejected vocals. From the gate, Forth Wanderers have delivered a fresh savory sound, notably the 2016 Slop EP, worthy of many a rewind. The latest is certainly the meridian of the band's work thus far, though its potency suggests it won't be the ceiling for their career.
