Enzo Scoppa & Cicci Santucci- Mirage
In Italy in 1970s, library music was at its zenith as a cyclopian catalog of stock recordings by work-for-hire session musicians was being collected. The wordless tracks were sold off for use in commercials, movies, television, and radio ads, but the low-glamour sound-pieces consist of vivid jazz compositions, raw synthesizers, and funky backbeats. Mirage is an obscure gem from Enzo Scoppa and Cicci Santucci reissued by SONOR Music Editions. It's not difficult envisioning these jazz-funk tracks running behind a film's opening credits, a TV show car chase, or a laundry detergent advertisement.
