Robbie Basho- Live in Forlì, Italy 1982

IMG_1396.JPG

A pioneer of American Primitivism, Robbie Basho’s acoustic guitar instrumentation was a collage of cultures inspired by classical arrangements from India, Europe, and early American blues. His steel-string compositions transcended the folk and classical music of the day and created the early foundations for New Age music embedded with a unique spiritual mysticism that would be perpetuated for decades to come. Live in Forlì, Italy 1982 is Basho and his steel guitar transmitting his anesthetic brand of finger-picked Ragas and sylphlike 12-string chimes. The lo-fi collections from the stage are finally available in a physical vinyl format via ESP-Disk and digitally via Obsolete Recordings.
