Hailed as one of the first "bubblegum pop" bands with their 1968 Green Tambourine release, The Lemon Pipers incorporate psychedelic tones and hypnotizing drum patterns on a record that stands out as a psych pop heavy hitter. Although the title track from Green Tambourine reached the #1 spot on the US Billboard charts in 1967 and branded the group as a one-hit-wonder, the entirety of their first album and second release, Jungle Marmalade, exhibit songwriting and recordings that remain relevant today.
