The Mourning Reign
The Mourning Reign were San Jose based sixties-era garage rockers. Their sound echoes bands like The Yardbirds, The Byrds, and by no coincidence The Chocolate Watchband and The Harbinger Complex - two bands with which they often shared the stage. The band's short-lived success can be attributed to several of the members being drafted to the Vietnam War. The fuzzy guitars, vocal harmonies, and jangly solos craft quintessential 1960s psychedelic pop songs.
